Uses
:
The Ammonium Bisulfite is a chemical reducing agent of oxygen used in water treatments. Chemically, it is a solution of Ammonium Bisulfite with a high concentration of SO2 reaching up to 45%. Its main use in industry is to control the corrosion by eliminating the dissolved oxygen in water systems and lines such as the secondary recovery of petroleum.
Ammonium Bisulfite solution approx. 70% is used in the photographic industry, food industry for caramels, wastewater treatment, and off-shore oil drilling as oxygen scavenger.
